Some time ago we tried to find browser extension that will display Google PageRank while we surf the web. Unfortunately, we've found that most 3rd party tools do not report PageRank correctly: their reports were different from report of official Google Toolbar for many kinds of URLs (for example, URLs with hash, https URLs, URLs with blank spaces, etc). Additionally, those tools often reported rank 0 and no rank in the same way - as rank 0. At the same time we didn't want to use Google Toolbar because it contains many features that we don't need and it supports only few browsers. Due to all these reasons we've decided to develop our own PageRank checker application.

PageRank for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera

PageRank is a browser extension that displays Google PageRank for current page. Extension is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. PageRank extension is fast, accurate, and lightweight.

Fast
PageRank extension fetches information directly from Google servers. That's why it works at maximum possible speed. Additionally, every fetched result is cached for one hour. Caching mechanism minimizes traffic and makes extension even more faster.

Accurate
Unlike other similar applications PageRank extension provides accurate results. Rank reported by PageRank is the same as rank reported by official Google Toolbar.

Lightweight
PageRank does only one thing and does it very well. PageRank extension is lightweight and not overwhelmed by various unneeded features.

Functionality

Rank is displayed in right top corner of browser as number and green bar. Number is displayed immediately, there is no need to hover mouse over extension icon or click on it. When user clicks on extension icon - popup is opened, and table with ranks for all tabs is displayed in popup.
